MCOM (Finance)

Overview

M.Com is a master’s degree in commerce. It is a two-year post graduate programme for those interested in jobs in accounting, banking, investing, financial services, investment, economics and marketing.

M.Com courses are recommended for candidates who desire to pursue various leadership roles in multiple businesses. The M.Com programme is ideal for those interested in pursuing a career as a financial manager.It also serves as a research and teaching tool. The course enhances analytical skills, logical reasoning, business management skills, statistical knowledge, research and teaching skills.

Candidates with M.Com degree can sit for various competitive tests such as the civil service exam or exams connected to finance and accounting such as NET exam, income tax departmental test, excise departmental test etc.

The majority of M.Com students pursue further professional degrees such as Chartered Accountancy, Company Secretary course or Chartered Financial Analyst course.

Eligibility

The students who aspire MCom course must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

UG degree in B.Com/BBA/BBM/BBS with not less than 45% marks in Part III or equivalent GPA for core and complementary courses

MSC Biotechnology

Eligibility

The students who aspire MSc course must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:.

Bachelor’s degree in any of the subjects such as Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Chemistry/ Zoology/ Botany/ Life Science or any other subject with Microbiology/ Biotechnology as one of the subjects of study at degree level with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (excluding languages). Those who are awaiting final year B.Sc. results also can apply but they have to fulfill the eligibility criteria before the admission.

MA English

Overview

The department started functioning from 2015 onwards offering Postgraduate course in MA English Language and Literature.

Master of Arts in English is a two-year postgraduate programme that deals with the study of Literature and Language in English across the world. Our master's degree in English imparts practices for reading and deciphering the nuances of English language and contribute to developing the students analytical and creative thinking skills.

It can take the students down a number of career paths, prepare for International Job Markets, and improve their own language skills. Students with English speaking skills are always preferred in every industry not only in India but globally.

Eligibility

The students who aspire MA course must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

B.A English/ Functional English as Core Course/ Part III excluding subsidiaries with not less than 45% marks or equivalent GPA excluding subsidiaries/Complimentary Courses or B.A./B.Sc. with English as Common Course with not less than 45% marks or equivalent GPA in Common Course.

Weightage of 10% of marks or GPA shall be given to the candidates who have studied English as optional. A weightage of 5% shall be given to candidates who have studied Functional English.

Candidates those who have passed LRP Programmes like BBM, BBA, B.Com and B Sc. etc are not eligible for M A English Programme.
