Chinmaya Arts and Science College for Women

Chinmaya Arts and Science College for women was established by Chinmaya mission at Govindagiri, Chala and started functioning on Sept 3, 2003. The college is affiliated to Kannur University.

At present the College offers Undergraduate and Post graduate courses in Science, Commerce, and Arts. The Bachelor’s degree courses offered are B.Sc. Biotechnology, BCA, B.Com with computer Application, BBA, and BA (English). Post graduate courses offered at present are M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.Com and M.A (English).The College has a highly qualified team of faculty members working under the able guidance of the Principal.

Chinmaya Arts and Science College believes in fostering individuals with tools that can help them attain success in their chosen career and to lead a harmonious life appreciating and taking care of the environmental and societal needs. Along with the curricular activities, the students engage in a variety of sports and cultural events in order to foster team work and leadership qualities.

The college takes pride in the accomplishments of its Nature club, Science Club, Women’s cell and NSS. The students are encouraged to take up best practice and skill development activities like Yoga, Karate, Instrumental music, Classical music, Creative arts, Culinary art, designing and décor under expert guidance..
